"Sense"-ational Sundays...
Our senses tell a story. I've committed to recording my 5 senses for the past week to explore my sensory world. I challenge you to do the same. If you choose to do so, just blog your 5 senses every Sunday & let me know, I'd love to read them.
I SEE: CANstruction!
There was a big CANstruction exhibit sprawling over NorthPark Mall that ended last weekend and I was able to catch some of the amazing can sculptures. I wish I had more time that day to look & take pictures. I guess I'll have to trek over to te mid cities for the next one in October...
CANstruction is a unique food charity sponsored by the Society for Design Administration (SDA). Teams of architects, engineers and students come up with unbelievably elaborate food sculptures. After each exhibition, all their "building materials" are donated to local food banks. Be sure to visit the CANstruction site to see more photos of the amazing builds!
I HEAR: ABBA
I put my favorite ABBA songs on a player all by themselves & have been jamming to them on a loop. I've been a real retro kind of mood!
I TASTE: The Ortolana
I admit it...I was not very good about taking my lunch this week. So that meant I landed at Cavalli's twice. So this week's top taste was one of my favs from there:
...and if you're wondering just what that is - it's a personal pizza with roasted eggplant, peppers, artichokes and jalapenos. So good...Congrats to Cavalli's! They just got named as having the best pizza in Dallas by D Magazine (very impressive considering they've only been open for 7 months!)
I TOUCH: My Sewing Box
Yep, I'm taking the time to actually make an owl this weekend. I'll share it tomorrow...
I SMELL: Brownies
Thank you, Meg for baking brownies Friday night & making the house smell like it was dipped in chocolate!
Thanks for reading & hope you have a "sense"-ational week!
