The MOST STUPID thing I've done in a very long time...

...yes. I have just washed and dried my cell phone. The screen is all melty...it's totally fried. I'm saying a prayer for the chip, but I don't have high hopes. I also don't have a hard copy of my phone list. {Dad, I know...I know....sorry}. If you were in my phone please email me your phone numbers. I'll try to get this mess replaced tomorrow night after work.

Take this as a lesson - check your pants when you do laundry! and never do laundry when you're really too tired to be doing anything...

Been there. Done that. Bought the cell insurance. Actually it was my techno geek husband that walked in the pool with it on vacation. I was so lost without my contact list. Hope you get all your info back.

Well thank goodness you did not have any tissues in your pocket as well, nothing worse than that fluff getting all over your clean clothes.

Good luck with that phone chip.

I ran ove mine with my car. The screen is like a cats eye now and the cover will not close all the way. its crooked on the hinge. I can call out tho and have been nursing it along until my contract is up in April. I did this three weeks into the contract and was not gonna pay 250 for another.

Good lord- I have done this 3 times! The first time my phone did never recover, but the replacement must be made of sturdier stuff because he has been through this twice and is still plugging away. I don't think I will tempt fate again however. I better go check my pockets again before I start my laundry.

I washed mine but didn't dry it - caught it before that lol! I too was able to salvage my sim card, and just bought a phone off e-bay, worked without even calling my cell company! (I read ahead and saw you saved your sim card too, yay!)
