Happy New Year from me & "the man"...

Happy 2008! Can you believe it - another year already? We only made it until about 10:30 last night, took our robitussin & pills and went to bed. Not exactly the party people of years past...

Matt & I were talking about all the things that happened this last year and one of his favorite was the birth of ManHandled, our family etsy shop. This has really morphed into a whole family project. It had started when Matt wanted an indoor hobby. He had been helping me churn out journals and buttons for so many years he said he could do them in his sleep, so I set up the site and let him have at it.

It's been a really great thing for us to share. We've collaborated on all the creative projects up there. Our cousin Meg joined in on the act and started making things for the shop too. Then I chimed in with some of my raw class materials students had been asking for. It's really fun to share this creative venture with my loved ones.

If you were wondering about the name, we picked "ManHandled" because at some point every single piece is constructed by or worked on by "the man", my hubby, Matt.

So Matt said it's been too long since I've given away anything on my blog, so he wanted to kick off the new year right with a fun giveaway on the blog! He's giving away 0ne set of buttons (pick your favorite) to five lucky winners from the ManHandled Shop. To enter to win just comment on this post. Please include your name, state and the name of your favorite set. We will pick a winner Friday, January 4th at 9 PM CST. Good luck & happy new years from me & the man!

Hi Emily & Matt-- "Oh give me a gnome for I sure like to roam"....LOL... that's my pick of buttons.

All the buttons are fantastic but those gnome buttons are awesome! They remind me of a road trip we took last year at holiday time with 2 other couples. DH and I strapped a large metal Gnome to the front of the Landrover before we headed out. We had a great time responding to others when we stopped along with way who questioned the gnome on the car. We would just say "gnome, what gnome...we don't see any gnome!". Of course the gnome is legend in our circle of friends now!!
Happy New Year..

I love the name ManHandled. It is so appropriate since your husband is doing it, with a little help from his friends. Loved meeting you in Waco last month.
