happiness, thy name is Sonic...

Fried jalapeno season in Texas is officially open! The crispy strips are back on the menu along with their heavenly spicy southwest supersonic burger (with chipolte sauce, pepperjack cheese and fried jalapenos). I drove by Sonic this morning and was so excited to see this on the sign I actually drove around to make sure it was re-added to the menu...life is good!

OMG! I love these too! I need to do a "drive by" at local Sonic and see if they are there yet! How do you feel about their fried pickles? I wish they would bring those back also! Happy Day!

EXCUSE ME???? Where do you live? I know Sonic does their food regionally, but I have never seen FRIED PICKLES on their menu...this sounds like a good reason for a road trip...

I was living in Arkansas when I had the fried pickles and they were YUMMO!! They only carried them for a short time, I believe it was the end of summer. So, if Sonic has a regional type of menu, they might not have been sold in TX. I live just North of you now, in Celina so I'm hoping that they will carry the jalapeno's soon! By the way, I'm glad to have found your blog!!!

I can honestly say that the Spicy Southwest Burger is nowhere near as tasty as the Island Fire Burger. The Island Fire uses the same Jalapeno Strips, but has a spicy sweet sauce that is simply to die for.

Em - when I was in HS (in southeastern OK) they had fried pickles on the menu, but that wasn't what they were called. I do believe they were on there on a regional basis only, but I was REALLY freaking sad when they took them off.
